If you are an expert skiers with dreams of skiing some of the best lines on the planet, this Go Pro video of Portillo, Chile’s Super C couloir will get you searching for the next flight down to South America this summer.
Pro skiers Chris Davenport and Sierra Quitquit filmed this edit in September of 2015. Davenport claims the Super C as one of the world’s greatest couloirs and it just happens to be based in one of his favorite places to ski on the planet, Portillo Ski Resort high in the Chilean Andes.
A 4,000 vertical foot hike takes some serious effort, but as you can see from Davenport’s video, the epic vista from the top and of course the 5,200 vertical foot descent is worth every bit of sweat.
Portillo, Chile is now open for the 2016 ski season after a large snow storm in early June dropped 9-10 feet on the resort.
