Backcountry Touring adventure via Chile's mighty Termas de Chillan and surrounding volcanos

Termas de Chillan terrain is vast, beautiful, volcanic, wide open as well as rugged. What you see from the lifts barely skims the surface of the potential riding in the area.
Itineraries vary from an 1800m (3300ft) run starting on the rim of a volcanic crater and gliding down its flanks after watching the sunset, to Alaska style faces that lead into natural hot springs.

It is truly a unique 8-day ski and snowboard adventure with a full week of ski touring exploration and hospitality at the Mission Impossible Lodge in Las Trancas.

Quick Tour Itinerary

Starts: Concepcion or Chillan
Ends: Chillan

Day 1: Fly into Concepcion or take a train to Chillan, meet your PowderQuest guides, MI Lodge check-in, group and trip intro, dinner

Day 2-7: Breakfast, Avalanche and Mountain Safety review, full day ski touring and exploring Termas de Chillan's endless backcountry.

Day 8: Breakfast, free morning to explore or sleep in, transfer to Concepcion Airport or Chillan's bus and train stations.
