
Ski Pucon! The active Villarrica Volcano hosts Villarrica-Pucon ski resort on Lake Villarrica, just an hour away from Temuco, capital city of Chile’s 9th region offers easy access to volcanic skiing in southern Chile.
The natural terrain is great for freeskiing and snowboarding, and short hikes access fun steep pitches and drops. Our main focus here is the ascent to Villarrica's smoking crater taking us to the 2,840m (9317 ft.) peak of the volcano.
When was the last time you peered into one of the world's most active craters? The descent back to the resort is over 1640 vertical meters (5380 feet) through the alpine slopes and deep lava flows creating natural half pipes, cornices and wind lips.
