The cone-shape peak of the El Colorado ski resort offers fun lift access terrain, the largest terrain park in Chile with over 40 features and 9 hits, and a 250 meter long bordercross. Linking with neighboring resorts, Valle Nevado and La Parva offer South America's largest resort and amazing back country ski terrain.
Colorado backcountry skiing trips Include off-piste road runs on Santa Tere (A.K.A. Santa Teresita or Santa Teresa) and more. One hour from Santiago, Chile and just steps away from the village of Farellones, the resort has steep lines dropping throughout the cliff bands seen from Valle Nevado.
Fun off-piste skiing and snowboarding can be found in Valle Olympico. The new tow lift, Los Pioneros, opens up an additional 13 runs and tack on some additional off-piste riding for advanced powder hounds.
The East face of ski El Colorado's cone usually has the best snow, as the Andean winds deposit large amounts of snow here.
